What I learned from the children who play room escape games

Every day, we are inspired by the innocence of children. Not only their innocence, but also their way of seeing the world. When an adult sees the world through the eyes of a child, he sees a better, more colorful and happier world.

Well, at The Dungeon, we also like to see our games through the eyes of children. We are amazed by both their creativity and their sense of observation. Moreover, they amaze us with the logic they developed from an early age. We must confess that recently, we participated in the Lollyboom festival, a festival for the whole family, where we put the little ones' curiosity and logic to the test. How did I do that? First of all, I created a treasure hunt game in nature. The stake was to be better friends with the environment, to get acquainted with the activities of the festival, to understand our riddles and last but not least, the big stake was, as a child of about 5 years old realized: "Fun ! ”. Even though the adults helped them along the way, they amazed us with their competitive spirit and perseverance. Even if there was no clear clue to them, they would return and ask for additional clues, until they solved the whole treasure hunt. The satisfaction at the end was all the greater the more they were rewarded for their effort.

Sometimes, we forget that play is just as important now, in adulthood. For children, it is a daily mantra. We are happy when children step on our doorstep, because they cheer us up and give us energy, but they also teach us to be as creative and open as possible to new ideas. And we rejoice even more, when the children give us a lesson and show us to think simpler and more colorful.

That being said, kids, let's go to The Dungeon!
